Steve Tarani has more than 35 years of combined government and private sector experience. He is a professional educator, author, keynote speaker, and the leading subject matter expert on edged weapons defense and training.
Steve has served the United States Defense, Law Enforcement and Intelligence communities for three decades. He is a former full time employee of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). As a protective services subject matter expert he served on Donald Trump’s pre-election protection detail.
He is the lead instructor for a nationally-recognized awareness-based training program offered to nearly 3 million members. Tarani, an active protective agent, is a CIA and FLETC-certified federal firearms instructor. Steve also provides services and training to the US Naval Special Operations Command, the FBI National Citizens Academy Alumni Association, National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO), and others.
Steve Tarani is the author of nine books on defensive tactics and is an active protective agent and advisor to the US Department of Justice, Department of Defense, and the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP).
